Women's WINTERING RETREAT WITH FOLK SISTERS
Three cosy nights away with Cate & Lisa in the picturesque landscape of the Derbyshire Dales
Thursday 29th Jan ~ Sunday 1st Feb
In the darkest depths of winter come warm the cockles of your soul with us on this magical yet homely, restorative weekend. The Wintering Retreat has been brewing for a while in the Folk Sisters cauldron, ushered in by the strong call to serve women with an enduring offering of rest which stretches beyond the few hours of our monthly circles. Just Imagine a whole weekend of Yoga Nidra practices, cosy blankets and hot cups of Cacao by the fireside! At long last we have found the perfect nurturing space to gather and welcome our sisters into the fold.
You're invited...

Our charming venue; a truly lovely barn conversion nestled in the rolling folds of the beautiful Derbyshire Dales.
Just Picture Wintering with us...
Escape away for a weekend to the tumbling hills of the "White Peak" region of the Peak District, just two hours from Oxfordshire and three from London. This place is truly Englands hidden gem. You will discover yourself on retreat at a traditional converted barn farmhouse where every aspect of your stay is catered for.
Wintering well is an art that has become lost to the continued hustle and bustle of the modern era. Here, on retreat we are able to go deep on what it really means to nurture yourself through the dark months of winter and stoke the inner fires aglow, awakening a long forgotten collective wisdom of rest. In this peaceful setting, just a hair's breadth from many stone circles, nature trails and caves, we’ll spend the weekend delving into all things Folk Sisters with our super cosy theme weaving every thread together. Consider morning cacao ceremonies by the fire and nourishing Yoga practices to get your body glowing from within. Imagine the evening; Cate weaves a Folk tale by candlelight for your delight and Lisa plays the Crystal singing bowls as you gently drift into ethereal realms.
No need to cook, or even plan your day, no need to hurry, no journey home after the evening practice, just walk a few meters to your warm, comfy bed!
Gift yourself this time to switch off, fully relax and be guided deeper into your wintering practices under the watchful eye of your experienced facilitators. In your free time take up one of the craft activities on offer, dip into a book or stroll out into the countryside for a true blast of fresh air and then return to the warmth of the wood burning stove and a delicious home cooked meal.
What a blissful time we shall have!
